Why have an eye exam with an eye doctor?
Your eye doctors in La Porte understand how the human eye really works, and also understand diseases and conditions that affect your eyesight. Unfortunately, many eye diseases do not have obvious symptoms, and that’s why an eye exam is so important. In addition, eye doctors know how risk factors and age affect vision over time for old and young patients. Optometrists also understand the benefits of all different types of corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contacts.
Because you are important to us, our optometrists in La Porte take the time to explain the results of your eye exam. We also listen to what you have to say about your eye care needs, and describe your various treatment options. We encourage you to ask questions and share your health information with us. Having the full picture of you health is vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.
Meet our optometrists in La Porte, TX:
Therapeutic Optometrist, Optometric Glaucoma Specialist
Upon graduation from optometry school, Dr. Frazier returned to her hometown of La Porte to practice. Dr. Frazier holds undergraduate degrees from Baylor University and the University of Houston. She graduated from University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Frazier has expanded her licensing to include diagnostic and therapeutic certification, and later to include Optometric Glaucoma Specialist certification. In June, 2011, Dr. Frazier was among the first to obtain Diplomate status with the American Board of Optometry. Achieving Diplomate status was a defining moment of her career, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to learning. Our office commits to continually improving patient care.
We built our free standing building in 1995, allowing room for more diagnostic equipment, a larger dispensary, on-site finishing lab, and four examination rooms to provide better service for our patients.
Many things about the way Dr. Frazier practices have changed. The eye care office in La Porte now uses computer assisted examination lanes with electronic records and prescribe digitally generated lenses. Our office employs the latest technology in the care of our patients. Despite all of the changes, the commitment to providing caring and personalized eye care that exceeds expectations has remained constant.
